The Authorized number of Directors of this Baord shall be seven(7).
All Director nominees shall be selected in accordance with the following qualification
guidelines. Such nominees will then be recommended to the city council for final approval
by a majority vote of the City Council.
A) Be a citizen of the United States
B) Senior level, policy making experience within an organization, management or ownership
experience, knowledge and experience with finance and budgets, demonstrated commitment
to Athens through active involvement in comunity affairs, residence in Henderson County,
sufficient knowledge and awareness of constituency perspective to bring useful input for Board
consideration in making economic development decisions.
C) At least five(5) of the directors shall be residents of the City of Athens who have resided in the
city for a period of not less than six (6) months immediately preceding the date of appointment.
Not more than two (2) of the directors may be non-residents of the City of Athens but must have
resided in Henderson County for not less than six (6) months preceding the date of appointment. |
